A Bit Late ...

But not as bad as I thought.
It could be worse. But the truth is, I wrote two books from October until now and just getting back to reading.
So, here's the reality. I've read one book this month and have spent time goofing off, preparing my office for summer (aka buying things to go in it and running out of room).
I reada a none-Christian book - "Blonde Identity" which was hilarious. Ally Carter, the author, doesn't hold back on the fun of being a "spy" harrassed by a government agent operative (because 'spy' is not a real term the 'agency' uses).
A book to make you giggle.
Caveat: some language. Our blonde "spy" is quick to say, "Language!" while she quips the golly gee lines.
Clean and closed door.
In Other News, I've been watching some fun, some serious detective shows (and you expect something else?).
Watched Brooklyn 99 - other than the fact the captain was gay, this was hysterical. Andre Keith Braughe who I've adored for years.
Canada's hysterically absurd situational comedy, "Corner Gas." Oh My Gosh. From the lyrics of the song to the movie and even the cartoon - all funny. All well done. Brent Butt, with that moniker, had to take everything in stride, and probably became Canada's most famous comedian. Everyone wanted to be on the show. If you have a love for absurd comedy, definitely it. Each of the characters are total idiots in their own way.

Another absurd comedy we just started is called Animal Control. Joe McHale stars as the lead, a detective forced out of the police department, hugely sarcastic. The cast? Irreplaceable. Again ... idiots.
If you haven't watched "Miranda," you're missing out on a gazillion quips to add to your journal for ... quips.
Of course, there's anything Agatha Christie. Watching the old British show, Morse (the theme song itself is worth the show). Did you ever see The Thin Blue Line - another absurd comedy with Rowan Atkinson.
So much for my goofing off and reading. I am currently reading another book, awaiting Februrary for continuation.
A Match Made in Mayhem, a Grit & Grace Mystery, book 1, will be out in May-ish. The cover art will be out perhaps in April-ish.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next installment of books, and where I might be at in my next book in the Grit & Grace series.
