Closer to Done than We All Thought... And more books I've read!

I finished an edit on Shanghai Road, sent it off, and am ready to read another book by Derinda Babcock.

First, before I get too far, let me tell you about "Things Not Seen," which came before my current read.

After a frightening plane wreck, Belle St. John and Colton Morgan navigate dangers in the mountains and in their hearts. In "Things Not Seen," it's an exploration of Belle's innocence, a wealthy city girl, and Colton's aloof ruggedness as a hunter and rancher.

In the deep of Colorado's wilderness, looking to survive, hunt for food, and find their way home, Belle's feelings are tested, and Colton's heartstrings are tugged. This was a wonderful love story in a series.

Second, I am reading an Advanced Reader's Copy of "Things Hoped For," another of Derinda Babcock's novels in the same series. Since I just started it, and have yet to get into the suspense of the new & delightful read, I'll won't be giving out details ... "yet." But it's going to be another great love story.

And third, just to make things crazier - since this is my norm (reading two books concurrently), I am also reading Lisa Black's "Let Justice Descend," the fifth in the much coveted Gardiner and Renner series.

Fourth, I read an Advanced Readers Copy of "Deadly Grand Opening," by Jean Rezab. This novel is a murder mystery with aspects of a suspense which takes place in a B&B. Quite a fun read, and I hope to see it on the shelf soon!

Fifth, I read the ARC (now published), Maybe Now, Maybe Never - by Chris Posti. What a great story about the lives of women whose lives intersect in friendship and familial ties. Both funny and poignant the author takes this to the next level of our own reality that we so often face. Being older I loved the romance - love has no age limit. Well done. Well written.
